ENQA board renews SQAA membership for another five years
The Agency will continue to be a member of ENQA, The European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, for the next five years, which is a further confirmation that the Agency is operating in full compliance with European quality assurance standards, as confirmed by the ENQA Expert Group Report.
The decision was taken by the ENQA Board at its meeting on 7.12.2023 and a visit to the Agency was carried out by a team of international experts in March 2023. On the basis of this visit and the Agency’s self-evaluation report, the ENQA team of experts has prepared an evaluation report, which is attached down below.
Membership of ENQA is of key importance for SQAA, as it allows us to actively participate and monitor innovations and progress in the development of quality assurance systems in the European Higher Education Area, as well as to compare the development of our system with that of other ENQA members. The renewed membership in ENQA is a proof that the Agency pursues the same values and quality standards as ENQA and as set out in the ESG standards, while also being committed to the continuous improvement of its performance.
The Agency’s registration in The European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR) was also renewed for five years in October 2023.
